(adapted from The Jordanian News Agency) Nabil Haddad “Jordan is interested in the positive message of coexistence”

Nabil Haddad, the executive director of the Jordanian Canter for Research on religious coexistence, said Jordan is interested in the positive message of coexistence. Haddad recalled during his meeting with the Director of Kalima Center for Dialogue and Cooperation in Iraq, Sayyed Saleh Al-Hakim, who visited the Center on Wednesday, the various initiatives launched by Jordan over the past years, such as the Amman Message and the global week of harmony between religions.

The meeting touched on, the importance of strengthening cultural exchanges between the civil and religious intellectual bodies in Jordan and Iraq, and to activate joint activities that will confront extremism and stereotypes and prejudices, as well as the role of the clergymen in contemporary society.

The meeting was attended by Vice-President of the Center Commission, former Minister Sami Gammoh, and the Ambassador of Iraq in Jordan Safia al-Suhail, the representative of the Department of Chief Justice Dr. Ashraf Omari, and an expert on media and dialogue Marwan al-Husseini.
