By the invitation of the Spanish Ambassador, Mr. Juan José Escobar-Stéman, His Eminence Sayyed Salih Al-Hakeem participated in the occasion of the National Day of the Kingdom of Spain, which was held at the headquarter of the Embassy in Baghdad. The Ambassador thanked His Eminence for attending the occasion of the national day and praised the role of the Center in the field of humanitarian dialogue.
On the sidelines of this occasion, His Eminence Sayyed Salih Al-Hakeem met Dr. Hussein Al-Khatib, Head of Europian Department of Foreign Affairs and a group of ambassadors of the world, including the Japanese Ambassador who expressed his desire for cultural and scientific cooperation with Al-Kalima Center through some of the most prestigious universities in Tokyo. The Russian Ambassador also expressed his desire to visit Najaf the Papal and Italian Ambassadors, who thanked His Eminence for the great role he plays in the field of dialogue and the rejection of sectarianism. His Eminence also met with the Romanian Ambassador who presented the twinning project between the universities of Romania and Iraq through the Center.
His Eminence also met the Ambassador and the Head of Delegation of the European Union to Iraq, Mr. Ramon Belkwa, and Mr. Georgi Bustin, Deputy Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Political Affairs and a large group of members of the Iraqi Council of Representatives and Christian clergy men.
