Deputy of Special Representative of the General secretary of United Nations in Iraq presents his thanks to Hikmeh Center for Dialogue and Cooperation

The Deputy of Special Representative of the General Secretary of United Nations , Mr. Gorge Postine presented his thanks Hikmeh Center for Dialogue and Cooperation and its president Samahat Al-Allameh Al-Sayyed Salih Al-Hakeem following to the participation of series of the activities held at the celebration of world week for interreligious dialogue .

It came at the text of the letter : ” on behalf of the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) , I would like to thank you and your representatives for participating in a series of events marking the world Interfaith Harmony Week. I am personally grateful for the time and effort you took to share your thoughts and experiences with us , in particular the stimulating speech you delivered during the dialogue on Role of Civil Society , Academics , Media and youth in countering Violent Extremism “

Also the  letter mentioned : ” Support provided by your center is highly appreciated and I hope that we will continue to work together on fighting violent extremism and radicalization in Iraq. Permit me to also thank you for you valuable observation on taking the dialogue to Wassit, Basra and Nassiriya for historical importance.

The United Nations remains committed to working with our partners in civil society, the Government of Iraq and the international community to promoting interfaith dialogue. In addition, combating extremism remains a priority for the Secretary-General, as well as UNAMI.

It is mentioned that the center has participated in several activities by its representatives and they presented several recommendations after end of week celebration .
